Overage players
§ 3-6 USE OF OVERAGE PLAYERS
§ 3-6.1 Overage
Norway Cup follows the NFF's Breddereglement § 2-3 (1) regarding exceptions to the age requirements. An overage player cannot be more than one year too old according to the age classification in Norway Cup.
§ 3-6.2 Number of overages
In 11-aside and 9-aside football, it is possible to have up to 3 overage players listed on the team list. In other forms of play, it is possible to have 2 overage players listed on the team list.
How many on the pitch at any given time:
It is possible to have up to 2 overage players on the field at the same time in 11-aside and 9-aside football. In other forms of play, 1 overage player can be used at any time. This means that an overage player can be replaced with another overage player on the bench so that the maximum limit is not exceeded. Overage players cannot play on teams in their own age group or higher in the tournament.
§ 3-6.3 Exemption for age granted by local circuit
Girls who have been granted a dispensation, granted by the district, to participate as overage players on teams in boys' classes while playing on teams in their own year group or higher, are also eligible to play in the tournament. Players who are granted a dispensation cannot be more than 2 years too old. The restrictions in the first and second sentences in § 3-5.2 apply.
General exemptions from age requirements, granted by the teams' local circuits, do not grant eligibility to play in the tournament if the exemptions go beyond Norway Cup's regulations for eligibility to play for overage players. Norway Cup does not grant exemptions from these regulations to any participating teams.
Guest players
§3-7 USE OF LOAN PLAYERS FROM ANOTHER CLUB
In cases where a team does not have enough players to participate in the tournament, it is possible to use up to two – 2 – players who are eligible to play for another club from the same nation.
As a guideline for a team according to the number of players, and what could be considered "enough players" to participate in the tournament, the following starting point will be used: 16 players in 11-aside football, 14 players in 9-aside football and 12 players in 7-aside football.
It is Norway Cup that must ultimately approve the use of loan players. This approval is made in connection with the team's registration of the participant list. It is a prerequisite for using loan players that there is a written agreement between the clubs before the tournament starts, which is sent to nc@bsknc.no . The agreement must state that if the player in the Norway Cup is suspended for 2 matches or more, and which cannot be served in the tournament, the player may be required to serve these matches in the regular league game.
The agreement between the clubs must be available upon request from opponents and the organizer as documentation of eligibility to play.
Team lists must be entered electronically into the registration system by July 15th.
PLAYERS ON MULTIPLE TEAMS IN THE SAME CLUB: A player can participate for multiple teams from the same club in the tournament. This does not apply to teams participating in the same age group. This rule also does not apply to overage players. A girl can participate on a boys' team in the same age group.
For teams in children's football between the ages of 10 and 12, a player can participate on up to two teams in the same class. On the team list, the player must be listed on both relevant teams in the relevant class.
