Norway Cup is the world's largest football tournament for children and young people, and every year brings together thousands of participants, volunteers and visitors from all over the world.

We are looking for a committed and energetic communications manager for a contract until August 15, 2026. 

You will have overall responsibility for external communications and lead a small team of employees in media relations, content and social media. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be flexible and strong at building relationships. 

This is an unusual communications opportunity: 30,000 people at Ekebergsletta for a week, an international audience following the tournament on various channels, and a story that engages far beyond football. Few roles offer this breadth of communications experience in such a short time.

Job duties

  • Have overall responsibility for all external communication before, during and after the tournament
  • Lead the work on content production and publication in social media, on websites and in newsletters
  • Prepare and follow up on communication plans and campaigns
  • Coordinate press and media management, including press releases, articles and interviews
  • Ensure visibility of activity program, sponsor activities and daily events during the tournament
  • Profile and brand building in collaboration with management and partners
  • Collaborate closely with volunteers, partners and staff for holistic communication

Qualifications

  • Experience with communications, PR, media management and/or journalism
  • Very good written and oral communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • Experience with digital channels and content production
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, even under time pressure
  • Desirable experience from major events, sports or volunteering
