Norway Cup Fair-Play Prize NC 2023

Norway Cup has introduced a match host for every single game played in the age categories of 13 years and above during the tournament, starting this year. This is an important measure that contributes to creating a safe and positive experience for everyone involved in the match, especially the referee.

What is a match host?

A match host is a person who is present on the field during the games to maintain fair play and create a positive atmosphere around the match. In addition to providing players and spectators with a sense of security by having a match host present, we also aim to ensure that the referee has a good experience throughout the game.

Who is responsible for providing a match host?

Both teams are responsible for providing a match host for each game. The green vest can be collected from the secretariat on July 29th during check-in.

Teams with the highest score

The girls' team and boys' team with the highest score by Tuesday evening, August 1st, will each receive a spot in the Values Match, which will be played on Wednesday, August 2nd. This means that a player or coach from the team will be part of the squad for the Mot or Redd Barna team and will play in the Values Match. The entire team will also have reserved seats in the stands during the game.

The winning team after the tournament will receive the Fair Play award during the prize ceremony. The main prize is free registration for Norway Cup 2024. If the team has already returned home by Saturday, August 5th, we will send the prize to the team.
