Moving Matches from EkebergslettaIn collaboration with the Agency for Urban Environment, Norway Cup has inspected all the fields at Ekeberg. Following the inspection, Norway Cup has decided to move a large portion of Sunday's matches from Ekebergsletta to reserve fields. The opening concert, meals, and activities on Saturday and Sunday will proceed as normal.- We want our players to have a good playing experience because the sports aspect is the most important. Many of the fields have so much water that they will become muddy, and the fields will be ruined for the entire tournament, says Marthe Bøhler, acting Secretary General of Norway CupAnother factor we consider is injuries. When muddy fields dry up, they create holes and bumps that harden, increasing the risk of player injuries.- We have a fantastic weather forecast ahead, and we are confident that the fields will be ready by Monday, says Marthe Bøhler. All teams will receive information about the new match schedule by 20:00 today at the latest. The reserve fields will have larger referee teams than usual and medical personnel from Norwegian People's Aid.All parking on grass remains closed, and there are very limited spots available at Ekeberghallen.
