Alpine star Aleksander Aamodt Kilde visited Norway Cup

After a season with sickness and injuries, the famous Norwegian alpine skier was happy to take a break and visit Norway Cup this week. He was at the DNB stand together with team mate Kjetil Jansrud and professional football players from the Norwegian teams Vålerenga and Strømsgodset. At the stand, Aleksander attended a football challenge with together wit fans that had showed up.

Norwaycup.no had a talk with the fine Norwegian man. Aamodt Kilde is looking forward to the Olympics in February 2018 and to the World Cup this year.

– I have never participated in Norway Cup myself, we were often on vacation when the Norway Cup week was. It is kind of strange, because I played football myself when I was younger, says Kilde.

Yesterday’s theme was friendship, and the young Norwegian says that friendship is very important for the national alpine team, and that the team is built up on friendship. You have to like those people you are around, because you are living, eating and training together. It is also important to avoid conflicts, and that is were good friendship played a huge part.

– Friendship is what gives the team good results. If your friend is feeling down, we are there to pull him back up again. It is important to know that your friends want all the best for you, says Kilde with a smile.

Kilde has already started the season preparation, and he is alredy heading out skiing today. The Olympics is the biggest goal this year, but the athlete can also say that he wants to fight for some World Cup victories this year.

– The long-term goal is to one day win the World Cup in total, that would be huge for me, Kilde said.
